The Grouchy Man

I go out this morning, early, to walk the dog and take out the garbage. It’s the beginning of another day in paradise here in SoCal.

But as I near the dumpster my dog starts yapping away and pulling at her leash.  Seems there’s someone or something rummaging through the fucking garbage. As we get closer I see it’s a mexican dude about 25 years old and a kid no older than 10. I tell them I don’t want them in ‘my garbage’ but they ignore me and continue to sift through the shit.

Soon several amigos approach dragging huge trash bags filled with plastic bottles and cans. My dog is really going crazy now. They toss the crap into an old beater car and then climb into the ‘recycle’ dumpster to help their friend. Disgusted, I pull my dog away and we continue our walk down the streets of Tijuana. Okay, maybe it’s not Tijuana…yet, but it won’t be too fucking long before these mexican ‘citizens’ take over this part of the world.

Now, believe it or not, even though I’m the Grouchy Man, I do have compassion for people. Most people. But not when it comes to these illegals who live in the shadows and refuse to assimilate; who take everything this country has to offer but give nothing in return.

Actually, I’m wrong…they do give us something…

It’s called the THIRD WORLD experience…and it’s right here in my backyard!
