Why The Proposed HealthCare System is Gonna KILL Us!
I don’t have medical insurance. I haven’t had any coverage for over 17 years.
That’s right, I’m one of those 44 million Americans without health insurance. So I don’t go for regular checkups, or see the doc when a new freckle appears on my back or I get a case of the sniffles.
No, like most uninsured Americans I just let it slide because I don’t want to pay (or can’t pay) the fucking outrageous costs for doctors visits, prescription drugs, and medical testing. And I’d rather spend the $350 monthly medical insurance premium on other more interesting and productive items such as gasoline, car insurance, food, and rent.
So I just ‘let it slide’ and hope for the best.
Yeah, at 61, I’m one of those who could benefit the most from a universal health care system.
But I don’t want to see it get passed!
Because…and here’s the pisser…universal healthcare will not only bankrupt this country, it will help to deliver us into third world status. Absolutely, positively, without a doubt, it will devastate us. The depressed economy won’t be able to survive it. Not because it’s going to be too expensive to implement. And not because the government is going to subsidize healthcare with money it doesn’t have.
Uh, uh…the reason, and no one has fucking mentioned this yet, the reason is that when those millions of uninsured boobs suddenly become insured they will rush off to the doctor to get this lump looked at and that pain checked out. 44 million new patients will absolutely swamp the healthcare system once the floodgates of the uninsured is jacked opened.
Once the system is in place, you’ll need to call today…for an appointment a year from now. Pharmacies will be overwhelmed and undersupplied causing customers to wait weeks to fill prescriptions. Hospitals will run out of beds. The sick will lie on gurneys stacked 3 deep in the darkened hallways of these institutions of healing.
And did I mention that the medical profession will run out of qualified doctors and nurses because they will be forced to take ‘regulated’ insurance (their incomes will suffer) and so less people will join the medical field. And with the tremendous demand for health care for these newly insured millions, and fewer doctors…well, my friend, you get the picture.
It’s another wonderful idea from the liberal left that will help to destroy America.

I was wondering whether anyone else had thought of this problem. You really hit the nail on the head.
And I applaud that fact that you are probably someone that could benefit from a universal healthcare plan, but choose instead, to rail against it for the good of this country.
Universal healthcare doesn’t work! Just look at the Canadians, thousands of them come across the border every year to get treated by a US doctor because they have to wait months just to get an appointment in their own country.
This type of plan only works in a utopian society, and we certainly don’t live in utopia.
